Patrick Mavros Sterling Silver Sculpture

Exquisite and fine vintage miniature hand crafted hallmarked sterling silver Kingfisher bird with fish sculpture by highly acclaimed Zimbabwean artist Patrick Mavros from his collection of miniature animals crafted in sterling silver.

The sculpture is securely attached to a Zimbabwean Blackwood Base. The detailed figure is made using the lost wax process and is a fine example, showing great skill although small.

The hallmarks are to the chest of the sculpture showing the Patrick Mavros hallmark, the Zimbabwean hallmark and the year hallmark for 1999.


A superb addition for any collector of fine hallmarked sterling silver.

Antique Mayer & Sherratt trio

Stunning and rare antique (circa 1906 - 1920) fine bone china trio by Mayer & Sherratt depicting a beautiful transferware pattern which is hand finished in shades of green, black, orange and gold gilding.

The factory was based in  Stafford Street, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England and after 1920 operated under the name of Melba china until 1941.

Quack Quack!!

We are not just an antique shop, we are also home to a family of geese, quacker and muscovy ducks...all living the ideal free-range life...lol. This being said, we unfortunately do not allow other pets on the property, but instead encourage clients to spend some time socializing and feeding our ducks as they form an integral part of our property and have a very special place in our family.

We provide packets of feed and ask clients to donate R5 towards this cause.

The faun in Roman mythology is a rustic forest god or goddess often associated with enchanted woods and the Greek god Pan and his satyrs. The faun is a half human-half goat (from the head to the waist being human, but with the addition of goat horns) manifestation of forest and animal spirits that would help or hinder humans at whim.

What a delightful find this is! Jaco and Leon have renovated an old farm building next to a lovely lily dam. It is a treasure inside and out, a very worthwhile stopover. And if you have a love of all things old and characterful, or simply beautiful, you can spend hours deciding what you may want to take home with you. Something for everyone at very encouraging prices. They even wrapped our treasures so well that they survived 3 domestic and an international flight completely unscathed. A very big thank you! We will definitely be back for more.
