Malachite is a copper mineral, valued for its bands of light and dark green, so the stone and the metal it’s set in share a common origin.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe open cuff is built from parallel rails: plain brass rails along each edge, with plain copper rods and twisted copper and brass strands between them. Three round natural malachite cabochons sit in raised brass bezels, one at the centre and one on each side, mounted on brass blocks that hold the rails together.
