Prairie Rose belongs to this period of assured production — a naturalistic interpretation of the wild rose, painted in warm pink with yellow stamens and supported by deep green foliage and touches of amber, set against the characteristic luminous white of Royal Albert bone china. The pattern has none of the fussiness of some mid-century florals; the blooms are open-faced and direct, and the design carries well across all three forms in this grouping.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe coffee pot is of tall, elegant form with a swelling body that narrows to a high shoulder and straight pouring spout, the whole body worked with a subtle spiral fluting that catches the light across the surface. Multiple floral sprays are distributed around the body — a large central grouping on the front and further sprays placed to read well from all angles. The handle is scroll-formed with a gilt upper terminal. The milk jug is of generous baluster form with a scalloped rim, scroll handle, and footed base, carrying the full floral decoration on both faces. The open sugar bowl is of a lower, wider footed form with a gently outswept scalloped rim, decorated with a single large bloom on each side. Across all three pieces the gilding is bright and fully intact at the rim, foot ring, handle terminals, and spout tip.
