The close-fitting sleeves end in wide white ruffled cuffs, flushed with pink at the edges. She holds her skirt out with both hands, so that it swings to show the white petticoat beneath and the toe of a red shoe. Her dark brown hair is drawn up into a high bun bound with a pink ribbon, and she turns her head to look down over one shoulder.
