Handcrafted Copper & Brass Ladies’ Cuff Bangle | Three Chrysoprase Cabochons | Sedgefield, Garden Route
Chrysoprase owes its apple green to a trace of nickel; here it sits in brass, the cool beside the warm.
This cuff was made within the last five years by a local craftsperson in Sedgefield, on the Garden Route, for The Dancing Faun Antiques. The three chrysoprase stones were chosen and supplied by The Dancing Faun Antiques and set by the maker. Chrysoprase is the apple-green variety of chalcedony, coloured by traces of nickel.
The cuff is open at the back. Plain brass rails run above and below, with a finer brass wire and a twisted copper and brass strand between them. Three square, cushion-shaped chrysoprase cabochons sit in brass box bezels, one at the front and one on either side. The ends finish in brass caps.
Very good condition. Made for The Dancing Faun Antiques. A fine line crosses the centre stone, which may be a crack.

Collector Appeal
Made in Sedgefield for The Dancing Faun Antiques, this lighter cuff pairs brass rails and a twisted copper and brass strand with three square chrysoprase cabochons chosen for the piece. The open construction leaves the handwork in view, and the apple-green stones stand out against the warm brass.
Green stone and yellow metal, each the softer for the other’s company.
