This character jug (D6202) captures Monty in his iconic brown beret and khaki uniform, designed by Harry Fenton and issued between 1946 and 1991, with a minor colourway change in 1954 when the yellow highlighting on the cap badge was removed.

Montgomery’s illustrious military career included the pivotal Allied victory in North Africa in 1942 and the acceptance of the German surrender at Luneburg Heath in 1945. He later served as Deputy Supreme Commander of The Allied Powers in Europe from 1951 to 1958, cementing his place in 20th-century history.
