Handcrafted Copper & Brass Men’s Cuff Bangle | Three Malachite Cabochons | Sedgefield, Garden Route
Three greens set in warm metal, each stone banded in its own way.
This cuff was handmade by a craftsperson in Sedgefield, on the Garden Route, within the last five years. The malachite was chosen and supplied by The Dancing Faun Antiques and set by the maker. Malachite is a copper mineral, valued for its bands of light and dark green, so the stone and the metal it’s set in share a common origin.
The open cuff is built from parallel rails: plain brass rails along each edge, with plain copper rods and twisted copper and brass strands between them. Three round natural malachite cabochons sit in raised brass bezels, one at the centre and one on each side, mounted on brass blocks that hold the rails together. The open ends finish in solid brass caps. The open cuff can be gently adjusted to fit the wrist.
Excellent condition. Made for The Dancing Faun Antiques and never worn.

Collector Appeal
Each malachite cabochon has its own pattern of green banding, set against the warm contrast of copper and brass. Substantial at 143 g, the cuff’s open-rail construction makes its handwork visible. The stones were selected by The Dancing Faun Antiques and set by a local Sedgefield craftsperson, giving the piece a documented connection to the Garden Route.
Malachite and copper come out of the same ground; here they have simply been brought back together.
