Handcrafted Copper & Brass Men’s Cuff Bangle | Three Tiger’s Eye Cabochons | Sedgefield, Garden Route
The light shifts through tiger’s eye as the wrist turns; each stone answers in its own way.
This cuff was made within the last five years by a local craftsperson in Sedgefield, on the Garden Route, for The Dancing Faun Antiques. The three tiger’s eye stones were chosen and supplied by The Dancing Faun Antiques and set by the maker. Tiger’s eye is a form of quartz whose fibrous structure gives it the silky, shifting band of reflected light for which it is known.
The cuff is open at the back. A band of copper runs its length, edged above and below by twin brass rails. Three round tiger’s eye cabochons sit in brass bezels on brass mounts that wrap the band: one at the front and one on either side. The front stone is a warm golden brown; the side stones are a deeper brown. The ends finish in squared brass caps.
Excellent condition. Never worn. The stones are free of chips and scratches. Some darker areas around the brass mounts remain from soldering during making.

Collector Appeal
A one-off made in Sedgefield for The Dancing Faun Antiques, this cuff brings together locally worked copper and brass with three tiger’s eye cabochons chosen for the piece. The broad copper band, brass rails and individually mounted stones leave the construction plain to see. As the cuff moves, each cabochon catches the light differently, showing the shifting golden-brown bands typical of tiger’s eye.
Made by one pair of hands, its stones chosen by another, it waits for the wrist that will make it its own.
