Oude Molen Fabriek B.V. was a Dutch manufacturer producing Delft-style decorative and souvenir wares in the post-war period, working within the broader “Delft Holland” export tradition that revived historic Dutch imagery for the decorative market. Unlike classical tin-glazed Delftware, the firm’s production was executed on porcelain bodies using transfer-printing, allowing for consistent reproduction of detailed scenic compositions intended primarily for export and souvenir trade. The crowned shield backstamp, featuring the name “Oude Molen Fabriek B.V.” encircling a quartered emblem with windmill and lion motifs, is a key identifier of the maker.

This small octagonal trinket dish is decorated in a deep rose-pink transfer print on a white porcelain ground. The scene depicts a Dutch harbour waterway with two sailing vessels moored in calm water, their tall masts rising into an open sky where birds are in flight. Reflections soften across the water’s surface, while low buildings and trees line the far bank, creating depth within a compact composition. Reeds frame the right foreground, reinforcing the sense of a working, lived-in shoreline rather than an idealised view. The octagonal rim follows the form precisely and is bordered in the same rose-pink tone, enclosing the scene with a clean visual edge. The reverse carries the full Oude Molen Fabriek B.V. crowned shield mark in matching pink, with the script inscription “Delft / Holland” below.

The dish is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, scratches or crazing to the glaze. The transfer print remains crisp and evenly applied throughout.
