Examples bearing the Selb-Plössberg mark — as this piece does — represent post-1953 production from Rosenthal’s Plössberg factory, where earlier models were reissued in a range of sizes and finishes. The all-white undecorated treatment, known as Weissporzellan, places emphasis entirely on form, proportion, and the tension of the pose.

This miniature figure depicts a leopard in a low, prowling stance, the body carried close to the ground with the head extended forward and slightly turned. The musculature is suggested with restraint rather than detail, the smooth surface relying on silhouette and balance to convey mass and latent movement. The tail curves low behind the body, while the small, rounded ears sit wide on a flattened skull. The gloss white finish remains unadorned throughout.

The base carries the printed Rosenthal Selb-Plössberg mark in green. No model number or designer attribution is visible.
