Linda HN2106 was designed by Leslie Harradine with a copyright date of 1952 and entered production in 1953. It remained in the Royal Doulton range until 1976 as part of the Child Classics series — a group of figures that shifted attention from idealised femininity to quieter, domestic subjects rendered with compositional restraint.

The figure depicts a young girl seated on a low rectangular bench glazed in soft celadon green. She is wrapped in a full-length crimson cloak worn over a white dress, the red ground enriched with characteristic lighter brushstrokes of rose and pink that give depth and movement to the glaze. The cloak is tied at the neck with a blue ribbon bow.

She wears a wide-brimmed green hat with a matching blue ribbon, her auburn hair falling in soft curls to her shoulders. In her right hand she holds a wicker basket filled with produce — carefully modelled in tones of orange, red and green — introducing a narrative element that places the figure within a domestic, seasonal context rather than purely decorative display.

The underside carries the Royal Doulton lion and crown backstamp with “Made in England / Bone China / Doulton & Co. Limited,” along with the name Linda, HN2106, and the copyright date 1952.

The piece is in mint condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration. The colours remain clean and well-defined throughout.
