Victoria Porcelain Scattered Floral Tea Plates — Pink Roses & Forget-Me-Nots, Czechoslovakia, c.1920s–1930s — Set of Five

Delicate and thoroughly appealing, these five tea plates from the Victoria Porcelain Factory at Stará Role represent Bohemian porcelain at its most characteristically pretty. The white porcelain ground is scattered across its full surface with small, loosely rendered floral sprays — pink roses, blue forget-me-nots, yellow blooms, and soft purple flowers — in the ditsy all-over style that was enormously popular during the interwar decades and has lost none of its charm since. A simple blue line traces the scalloped rim, providing just enough definition without interrupting the lightness of the decoration.

The form is classic and well-proportioned: a gently scalloped edge, a smooth well, and the fine, translucent quality that distinguishes good Continental porcelain from its earthenware contemporaries.
