Royal Albert's Dimity Rose was introduced in 1969 and belongs to the period when the Staffordshire manufacturer was producing some of its most lavishly gilded bone china. The pattern takes its name from dimity — a fine woven cotton fabric associated with femininity and delicacy — and translates that quality directly into porcelain: trailing garlands of open pink roses scattered across a warm white ground, framed by a broad border of richly worked gold foliage in the classic Royal Albert rococo tradition. The orange/rust crown backstamp confirms this as original 1960s–1970s production, the most desirable issue period for Royal Albert collectors. Dimity Rose sits within the wider Royal Albert rose pattern family — a category that has sustained collector demand across generations — and the combination of its generous gilding with the scattered rose garland format gives it a presence that many later reissues do not replicate.

The trio comprises a teacup, saucer, and side plate in Royal Albert bone china. The cup is of the standard Royal Albert footed form with a scrolled handle, gilded at the tip. The exterior carries scattered bouquets of open pink roses with green and grey-green leaves arranged in loose trailing garlands across the white ground. A broad border of dense gold foliate work — roses, leaves, and tendrils — runs to the rim of all three pieces, with a fine gold line at the edge. The saucer and side plate repeat the garland and border treatment; the side plate carries the garlands arranged in a sweeping circular formation across the full face. The cup interior carries a small central rose spray. The gilding throughout is heavy, detailed, and in mint condition with no wear or loss.

The trio is in mint unused condition. No chips, cracks, or crazing. Gilding is mint throughout.
